Time...'tis been a while

For me, blogging has not been a hobby. Not because ideas did not flow across my mind but because I seem to have been engaged with a number of pursuits since 2009, that in my view, relegated blogging to the archives of my mind. Only recently, did  I come across my own blog on google by searching and felt a nudge to scribble this stream of thought. If only, to remind me to use it as my opportunity to pen down the stream (or is it string?) of thoughts that occur to me from time to time in the course of meditation. Who knows? Someone may come across its contents and be inspired and lifted. Besides, it's my blog and since I have opportunity this season, I'd fill it with articles containing some of what 'me' has been ruminating.
This in itself is a challenge to you, reader, to dust off your old opportunity portals and see if they can still kick or serve you while you still have them. They could be the only portals someone will have to meet you in life.
When I look back at our class picture and try to take a roll call of some people I saw almost everyday but didn't know much about, I wonder how I got to be able to mix and interact with my colleagues then. I however give glory to God that He saw us through it all. I also want to safely assume that none of us should still be on the OAU campus as an undergraduate except for those who left and did not come back to finish with us. The date is November 13th, 2012. Looking back I can say: "time...'tis been a while".
To my former "fellow" course mates, I say: all will be well with you in Jesus' name. From hear-say and social sites, I can see that various people are already on to various agendas based on the opportunities we all have been able to tap into including seeming "idleness". It is my desire for you, however, that God, who is the controller of time and chance will help each of us, still in the journey of life to make the best of both time and chance and finish strong with testimonies in Jesus name.
I also will use this opportunity to through this portal invite all and sundry to the Holy Ghost Congress 2012 with theme: Signs & Wonders, slated for December 10th-15th, 2012 at the Redemption Camp located at Km 42-46, Lagos -Ibadan Expressway.  You can also listen to it online and or watch via liveway radio on www.rccg.org. It offers salvation for sinners, restoration and healing for backsliders, holiness for saints, and miracles for all. This is courtesy the God of miracles Himself. I implore you to be there by all means or be part of the live transmission.
I hope I write, or better still, blog soon with more stuff to offer. For anyone still inquisitive as to how Olumide finished from OAU, the answer is this:"...by His grace, I finished strong". Once again, all will be well. A bientot!

Classwork and stuff!

after a 4-month strike filled with mixed events, feelings and circumstances, one cannot but wonder at God's mercies despite all that happened. This was not the original intent of this write up but the focus changed right at the moment the first few words were typed. This article is meant to appreciate the Almighty God for a 5-6 year period of academic work and a lot of paparazzi in-between the period such as strikes, alutas (student demonstrations), fellowship activities, social events, weddings, inaugural lectures, departmental stuff, etc. It is not surprising to find many erstwhile young, quiet and introverted colleagues transform into almost a direct opposite of their initial natures-thanks to the mix of grades most of us have had. Even as we approach the official end of the normal session for us all; there's still that atmosphere of mixed feelings in the entire class. Each man now has an idea where he/ she stands and that is the major determinant of each person's mood.
In all these, I'd still like to appreciate God for us all- good and bad feelings notwithstanding. I know my path in life is not exactly the same with that of any one else yet in all things I know also that by His grace, with consistent and diligent efforts on my side and obedience to His voice, I will surely laugh last and by convention, laugh best. This also is the portion of anyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and personal saviour in our class and takes him serious( or rather his/her relationship with Him) because all things work together for our good.
So irrespective of your present CGPA, rejoice and give thanks for you shall laugh last in Jesus' name. Believe this, confess it, work according to this reality and you shall testify soon enough.
